He learned this from his parents Joe and Helen Flores who started the business in 1982.
Flores Sr. was a tailor in the Navy and a civilian employee at Norton Air Force Base for 38 years. There, he polished his talent as a trimmer (one who does quality upholstery work) and got the idea that it was possible to provide high quality upholstery products at a better price to those who do the work.

He and his wife still work at the shop with Joe Jr. who is now responsible for running the operation.

They have a 20,000 sq. ft. building that has everything you need, from automotive vinyl, carpet and body cloth to poly foam and anything else you would need to get that custom fit. They also have furniture quality fabrics for more delicate applications.

They have five huge cutting tables that will get you in and out quickly. They carry over 25 colors of tweed material that is geared for hot rods and show cars, but they also offer marine vinyl and carpet for the weekend skipper.

If you have a convertible top or landau vinyl roof that needs replacing, they have the material and padding.

To complete an upholstery job you might need adhesive, webbing, aerosol spray, specialty screws, fasteners, snaps, buttons, thread, weather-stripping or window channel which they also have.

It does not matter if you are a big business or an individual, because the sell both wholesale and retail upholstery supplies and materials.

J&J Auto Fabrics will also try to order something for you if they do not have it, but they probably have it in stock.

Joe Flores Jr. is also the president of the Business Improvement District Association for Downtown Rialto and can be found at J&J or at the Run Whatcha Brung yearly car show held in downtown Rialto driving his 1968 Chevelle.
